Choosing the right mixer for your setup can be a difficult decision. If you are a scratch DJ then you will need to spend a lot of time looking for the mixer that suits you best. If you are a beginner DJ you may not want all of the features that a professional mixer has. The mixers below are in order of price lo - high.

Quick Ref: Under £250, £250+

The first group of mixers are in the under £100 category. These mixers are suitable if your just starting out as a DJ and are learning to beatmatch.

Citronic CDM 3:2 - £65

This mixer is suited to the beginner DJ/ Scratch DJ. Featuring 2 channel inputs and replaceable crossfader

Kam Silver Dwarf - £70

This mixer features 5 inputs, 2 channels with gain controls for each, mic input and a silver finish. Also available in red. Good learning mixer.

Gemini PMX 120 - £79

This mixer features crossfader curve control, ideal for scratch use and also an x-fader reverse (hamsterswitch) Punch in buttons also on each channel.

KAM KMX 100 - £99

This mixer has 5 inputs, 2 channels and a mic input. It is one of the only mixer under £100 to feature rotary kills for bass, treble, mid. This mixer was voted best for under £100 at the Plasa 99 awards. Recommended.

The next mixers are in the under £200 category. These mixers are for DJ's with a little more experience. They are more suited for bedroom, mobile and pub/bar use

£100-£200.

Gemini PMX 140 - £115

This mixer features 2 channels, x-fader curves and kills for bass, treble, mid. This is an excellent budget mixer and highly recommended for the price. Good option for the beginner scratch DJ.

Gemini PS626 Pro2 - £150

This 3 channel mixer is probably the most popular mixer available. It features replaceable faders, rotary kills on each channel with -32db cuts, mic input, beat monitors. You are also able to pan in and out of the mix. This is the mixer I currently use. Excellent buy.

Gemini BPM150 - £172

This is the best 2 channel BPM mixer for the price. It has x-fader curves and kills. This is a highly recommended mixer

Numark DM2002X - £199

This numark mixer features 3 channels with rotary input selector toggles, kill switches and also a hamster switch. This mixer is the top end of the budget range.

The next mixers are for the professional DJ. These mixers have many more features than the budget mixers and are designed for club or competition use.

£250 +

Technics SH-DJ1200 - £289

This is the mixer to match the 12/1210 turntables. This mixer is the perfect scratch mixer and is used in the DMC scratch championships. This mixer has been recommended to me from a professional DJ. It features full kills, super smooth x-fader and channel sliders

Pioneer DJM300 - £289

This mixer is of an amazing build quality. It has too may features to list but also has dual BPM counters. Top professional mixer for the advanced DJ.

Pioneer DJM600 - £729

Top end DJ mixer. Used in professional setups. Features everything. Unbelievable mixer.
